Thrombosis

Formation of blood clot within the blood vessel obstructing the flow of blood through the circulatory system is termed as thrombosis. It is classified based on the type of blood vessel affected and the precise location of the blood vessel or the organ supplied by it. Treatment includes anticoagulation, thrombolysis, surgery, endovascular treatment, antiplatelet agents, targeting ischemia/reperfusion injury.
